Jiayi Guo

Jiayi Guo is a 20 year old uprising Hong Kong-born pianist, composer and bandleader. Based in Boston, Guo plays regularly around the area bringing her group and originals intertwine the sounds of contemporary and traditional jazz, the avant garde, and traditional Chinese music. As a pianist, she has shared a stage with artists including George Garzone and David Fiuczynski. Guo is also an active composer and arranger, multifaceted in writing for her smaller jazz combo groups as well as commissions for all instrumentation from small ensemble to symphonic orchestra.
